The U.S. branch of Nikon decided it’s time for the company to cater to poor photographers, also known as photographers. To that effect, Nikon has today announced a new trade-in program available throughout the United States.
This is an introductory offer, mind you, so it is specifically geared toward helping newcomers to the field of digital photography find their bearings without having to sell their car and hence provoke a divorce that will send their life on a downward spiral toward the essence of all tortured artistry. Nah, that only comes later, after they upgrade to a full-frame body.
In the meantime, you can get yourself started with this totally innocent hobby at an even lower cost than before, with Nikon offering up to a $100 in trade-in value in exchange for some older gear you might have dug up. It doesn’t have to be from this century and it doesn’t have to be Nikon-made, mind you.
This is all in celebration of the recently launched Nikon Z 5 which can also be traded in as part of this program, as Nikon is eager to point out. You know, in case you’re missing a $100 toward your next camera bag or have lost your mind.
