Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is getting a new DLC fighter in the form of Tekken’s Kazuya Mishima. The revelation about the upcoming content came from a recently-released E3 showcase, highlighting the fighting game’s staple character. Kazuya will be making his appearance on European Switch consoles beginning Tuesday, June 30th, as per Nintendo Life.
What Can We Expect From Kazuya in Smash Bros?
Anyone who had played a Tekken game before will find Kazuya Mishima a familiar character. Aside from his iconic looks, which only gets to show more details per iteration, the fighter is also mostly popular for his fighting skills. Featuring many of his classic moves, anyone who would choose to play as the DLC fighter will find the simplified button combinations an easy affair. For instance, executing his famous Tsunami Kick and Stonehead with just a press of a few buttons. But real SSBU fans know that the key to winning in-game isn’t merely about having flashy moves. Rather, on how to use them whenever the opportunity arises.
Players may find Kazuya to be a formidable fighter in human form. But his abilities go to a different level when he transforms into Devil form. Bearing two protruding horns and a pair of bat-like wings, the Devil form is a force to be reckoned with. Particularly, the transformed fighter is potent in executing air juggling as well as combos, among others. Needless to say, this fighter is a powerful beast to the right player. It would be very interesting to see how Kazuya Mishima performs among competitive players in any SSBU tournament, which we hope will still happen, regardless of the cancellations from the past year.
