Godzilla Joins Tekken 7 Rooster Through a Fan Made Mod

A fan-made mod is giving a prominent Tekken 7 character a major image makeover. Essentially, bringing an iconic monster into the roster: Godzilla. But will outfitting King with a monster costume make him a more formidable fighter than he already is?

How Does the King of the Monsters Play?

The mod is made possible by user Ultraboy who shared his creation at tekkenmods.com. The resulting project in question is completely free for everybody to download and experience. But said modder is also asking for donations to anyone willing to spare some cash as appreciation to his work. Here’s his ko-fi page, if anyone is willing to help out the modder financially.

Right off the bat, the costume is first and foremost exclusively cosmetic in purpose only. But the undertaking seems to involve more than just a mere reskinning. It employs the use of special effects that add to the picture it depicts, too. However, even though King will have looked like an irradiated creature, he nevertheless still plays the same.

Meaning, rocking all those wrestling move sets alongside some deadly blows. It is precisely the kind of abilities you would see from something so brutish as Godzilla. Especially if shrunk, which seems to be the overarching theme with the mod from the outset. The influx of players in the past few years certainly helped the modding scene, so a project like this is no surprise to the community. See the video below to get a full look into the mod in action.
