HP's Newest Monitors

Hewlett-Packard today announced no fewer than eight new monitors for professional photo and video editors. Leading the line are two flagship DreamColor screens: the HP Z25xs G3 and the Z27xs G3. The latter of which is the true poster boy of this pro-grade monitor generation, much like its name suggests. Yet the entire range is planned to hit the market at pretty reasonable prices.

For example, the said Z27xs G3 should become available for purchase in the United States come March, priced at $749. The said model offers a 27-inch 4K (3840 x 2160) panel, whereas the smaller, 25-inch Z25xs G3 makes do with a 2,560 x 1,440 (QHD) resolution. t’s also going to be a full $150 cheaper and is also planned to debut near the end of the first quarter of 2021, HP revealed during today’s announcement. The remaining half a dozen new products are mostly WUXGA¬†offerings, which is a fancy marketing term of the blocky 1,920 x 1,200 resolution. PANTONE-certified color gamut reproduction accuracy is on offer with the entire range, however, as we would expect from such a creative-centric display series.

Other than that, expect some fairly standard generational improvements in terms of things like USB Type-C standard specification, energy efficiency, and so on.
